How to Write a Trendyol Product Title: Rules and Examples

A Trendyol product title can be up to 100 characters, and the structure Trendyol recommends is Brand + Product type + Key feature + Variant (color/size). Writing the entire title in capital letters, using emojis or special characters, and adding marketing phrases such as "cheapest" or "don't miss out" are not allowed. In this guide, we walk you step by step through the rules, how to fill in each part of the title, and ready-made examples from different categories.

Trendyol product title rules: a quick summary

In Trendyol's product creation documentation, the title is the title field. The other fields that must be entered correctly alongside the title also affect how the product appears in search and filters. The table below collects the rules that directly concern the title.

TopicRule
Title lengthUp to 100 characters
Recommended orderBrand + Product type + Key feature + Variant (color/size)
CapitalizationNo all-caps titles
SymbolsNo emojis or special characters
PhrasesNo marketing phrases such as "cheapest" or "don't miss out"

For details on the character limit and character-counting examples, see our article how many characters a Trendyol product title can have.

The four parts of a Trendyol product title

The four-part structure Trendyol recommends is built around how customers search: a customer first types the product type or the brand, then narrows the results by feature and color. When your title follows this order, it is clearer both in search and in the listing.

1. Brand

The first word of the title is the brand. On Trendyol, the brand is also selected as a separate field; the brand name in the title must be written exactly as it is in that field. If your brand is registered as "Nerisa Home," writing "Nerisa" or "NERİSA HOME" in the title creates an inconsistency.

2. Product type

This is the general name the customer types into the search box: "duvet cover set," "storage container," "charging cable." Choose the word customers use, not your own internal naming. If you are not sure, start typing the product name into the Trendyol search box and look at the suggestions that appear; they give you a good idea of the phrases customers actually use.

3. Key feature

One or two details that set the product apart from similar items in the same category: material (cotton, borosilicate glass), size (1 m, 30 cm), capacity (1 L), compatibility (iPhone 15 compatible) or use (double bed). Instead of stringing five features together, pick the one customers look at most when making a decision; the rest belongs in the description and the attribute fields.

4. Variant

Details such as color or size go at the end of the title. Which variant should be written in the title depends on Trendyol's variant structure; we explain this in a separate section below.

How to write a Trendyol product title step by step

  1. Select the category down to the lowest level. Instead of "Home & Furniture," for example, choose the final subcategory, such as "Storage Container." The product type you use in the title should match the category name.
  2. Fill in the required attributes. Values such as color, material and size are entered in the attribute fields. The variant and feature terms you put in the title should come from here.
  3. Identify the search phrase. Write the product type in the customer's language; check the search suggestions and which phrase competing listings use.
  4. Fit it into the template. Write the first draft in the order Brand + Product type + Key feature + Variant.
  5. Count the characters. Do not exceed 100 characters. In long titles, remove the least important feature; leave the brand and product type untouched.
  6. Clean out prohibited phrases. Delete capital letters, emojis, exclamation marks, and phrases such as "deal," "cheapest" and discount percentages.
  7. Check consistency across variants. All colors of the same model should be written with the same template, with only the color word changing.
  8. Monitor after publishing. Look at your product view and click data; if views are low, review the product type phrase, and if clicks are low, review the feature and image side.

Title template for variants of the same model

If you sell a model in several colors, each color appears as a separate product card on Trendyol. Because customers can see these cards side by side in search results, the titles should differ only by the color word. Define the template once and apply it to all colors:

ColorTitle
BlackKaplon iPhone 15 Compatible Silicone Case Camera Protection Black
NavyKaplon iPhone 15 Compatible Silicone Case Camera Protection Navy
ClearKaplon iPhone 15 Compatible Silicone Case Camera Protection Clear

Writing "camera protection" in one color's title and "lens protection" in another may look like a small difference, but it gives customers the impression of two different products and leads to errors when you make bulk edits. The color word should also match the value you entered in the color attribute.

Putting the template in writing is especially useful if more than one person on your team uploads products. A simple table is enough: category, template, sample title and information that should not go in the title. When a new product is uploaded, the team checks this table, and the whole store speaks the same language.

Changing the title of a live product

You can change the Trendyol product title of a product that is already on sale, but keep a few points in mind:

  • Don't change the product's identity. Improving the title and selling a different product on the same card are two different things. The card's existing reviews belong to the old product; if the product has changed, open a new card.
  • Measure the change. Note the date you changed the title and look at views and sales over the following weeks. If you change the price, images and title all at once, you won't be able to tell which change made the difference.
  • Don't change it too often. Trying a different title every week both increases your team's workload and makes the results harder to interpret.
  • Update your other channels too. If the same product is sold on other marketplaces, update your master title and derive the channel versions from it.

Sample titles by category

The brand names in the examples below are fictional. Character counts include spaces.

What the strong titles have in common: the brand and product type can be read in the first two or three words, followed by a single distinguishing feature, with the color at the very end. None of them comes close to the 100-character limit; a short, clear title is easier to read than a long, padded one.

The clothing example has no size. The reason is Trendyol's variant structure.

Should color and size go in a Trendyol product title?

On Trendyol, category attributes work in two ways:

  • Slicer attribute (e.g., color): Each value creates a separate product card. A black and a white T-shirt appear as two separate products in the listing. Since each card carries its own color, it is correct to put the color in the title.
  • Varianter attribute (e.g., size): The values are shown as options on the same card. Because S, M, L and XL are selected on a single card, putting the size in the title means giving incorrect information for the other sizes.

Which attribute is a slicer and which is a varianter can vary by category; you will see this in the category attribute list when uploading products.

The field that keeps variants together is the model code (productMainId). Products with the same model code are grouped as variants; the model code can be up to 40 characters. Each variant also has its own barcode (up to 40 characters) and stock code (stockCode, up to 100 characters). We explained the difference between these three identifiers in our articles what is a SKU and what is a barcode.

Title, description and attributes: which information goes where?

Since the Trendyol product title is a limited space, divide the work among the fields instead of trying to fit every detail into the title:

  • Title: What the product is and the most important feature that sets it apart.
  • Attribute fields: Values used in filters, such as color, material, size and pattern. When a customer selects a filter, they see your product thanks to these fields.
  • Description: Instructions for use, care information, set contents, size chart. The description supports HTML and can be up to 30,000 characters.
  • Images: Photos showing the product's size and use. For image rules, see our article marketplace product image sizes.

Make sure every piece of information you cut from the title appears in the description or an attribute field.

Common mistakes in Trendyol product titles

  • Repeating the same word: Titles like "T-Shirt Oversize T-Shirt Women T-Shirt" are hard to read and don't inspire trust.
  • Adding campaign information: "50% off" or "free shipping" becomes incorrect once the campaign ends. In addition, a discount phrase counts as a discount advertisement; starting August 1, 2026, the previous price must be the lowest price in the last 10 days before the discount (the previous rule was 30 days). For details, see our article the 10-day rule for discounted sales.
  • Unprovable claims: Under Article 61 of Law No. 6502, advertisers are required to prove their claims; phrases such as "100% original" or "highest quality" are risky in this respect.
  • Presenting another brand as your own product: If you sell accessories, write "iPhone 15 Compatible Case," not "Apple Case."
  • Title and attribute field contradicting each other: A product with "Gray" in the title and "Anthracite" in the color field shows up in the wrong place in filters.
  • Putting the size in the title: Because varianter attributes appear on the same card, a size in the title will be wrong for the other options.

Frequently asked questions

Is it mandatory to include the brand in a Trendyol product title?

The structure Trendyol recommends starts with the brand. Since the brand is also selected as a separate field, the brand name in the title must be written exactly as it is in that field.

Should the size be written in a Trendyol product title?

No, it is not recommended. Because varianter attributes such as size are shown as options on the same product card, a size in the title would be wrong for the other options. Slicer attributes such as color, on the other hand, create separate cards, so they can be written in the title.

Can I use capital letters in a Trendyol product title?

You can capitalize the first letter of each word, but writing the entire title in capital letters violates Trendyol's rules.

Where should I put information that doesn't fit in the title?

Enter values used in filters, such as color, material and size, in the attribute fields, and put usage and care information in the product description, which can be up to 30,000 characters.
