Marketplace Product Image Sizes and Rules
Trendyol requires 1200x1800 pixels (2:3), 96 dpi and a maximum of 8 images; Amazon's main image must be on a plain white background, with the product filling at least 80% of the frame. We have also gathered the recommended approach for Hepsiburada, n11 and Temu in a table.

Product image sizes vary by marketplace, and an image in the wrong size is either rejected or appears cropped and blurry on the product page. Trendyol requires product images to be 1200x1800 pixels (2:3), 96 dpi and served from an https address; Amazon requires the main image to be on a plain white background, with the product filling at least 80% of the frame. Because there is no official, publicly available pixel size for Hepsiburada, n11 and Temu, we list the "recommended" approach for these marketplaces separately.
Marketplace product image size table
The "Status" column in the table shows whether the information comes from the marketplace's official documentation or is a recommendation based on seller experience.
| Marketplace | Size | Count and file | Background and content | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trendyol | 1200x1800 pixels (2:3 ratio), 96 dpi | Up to 8 images per product; image address must be https | According to category rules | Official (Trendyol developer documentation) |
| Amazon.com.tr | At least 1000 pixels recommended for zoom | Main image + additional images | Main image on a plain white background (RGB 255,255,255), product fills at least 80% of the frame; no text, logo or watermark on the main image | Official (Amazon guide) |
| n11 | No official pixel size found; high resolution recommended | Up to 10 images via the panel, up to 2 MB per image | Clear photo showing the product | Count and file size official, size recommended |
| Hepsiburada | Official pixel size could not be verified in public sources | According to panel warnings | Images should not contain text, logos or watermarks | Based on seller guides, recommended |
| Temu | No public official size found | According to panel warnings | General principles | Recommended |
Trendyol product image sizes
According to Trendyol's product creation documentation, images must meet the following requirements:
- Size: 1200 pixels wide, 1800 pixels high. This means a vertical image with a 2:3 ratio.
- Resolution: 96 dpi.
- Address: The image must be accessible from an address starting with https. If you send products through an integration, you need to publish the images over https on your own server or on a storage service.
- Count: Up to 8 images per product.
Converting a square photo to a 2:3 ratio
Studio shots are usually square or horizontal. When converting a square photo to a 2:3 ratio, don't crop the product; instead, extend the canvas to 1200x1800 pixels by adding space in the same color as the background above and below the image. Enlarging the product vertically and cropping its edges causes part of the product to be lost, especially with shoes, bags and home products.
Why is 96 dpi specified?
The value that actually determines on-screen quality is the pixel size; dpi matters mostly for print. Still, because Trendyol specifies 96 dpi in its documentation, setting this value when you export your images helps you avoid problems in any check. Most image editing programs have this setting on the export screen.
Amazon product image rules
Amazon applies stricter rules than other marketplaces for the main image (the first image shown in search results):
- The background must be plain white (RGB 255,255,255). Light gray or cream backgrounds do not count as white.
- The product must fill at least 80% of the image area.
- The main image must not contain text, logos or watermarks.
- At least 1000 pixels is recommended so that customers can zoom in on the image.
In additional images, you can show the product in a usage setting, with size information or in detail shots. The white background rule for the main image is meant to display products in search in the same layout as other sellers; a red or patterned background may catch the eye, but it violates the rules.
Recommended product image sizes for Hepsiburada and n11
On n11, you can upload up to 10 images per product via the panel, and each image must be no larger than 2 MB. We could not find an official, publicly available pixel size. Because of the 2 MB limit, you need to compress very large files before uploading; to reduce file size without degrading image quality, you can gradually lower the JPEG quality setting.
For Hepsiburada, an official pixel size could not be verified in public sources either. Seller guides stress that images should not contain text, logos or watermarks. For size, our recommendation is to use the high-resolution image you prepared for Trendyol or the white-background image you prepared for Amazon, and adapt it according to the warnings the panel gives.
Product images on Temu
We could not find a public, official image size table for Temu aimed at sellers in Türkiye. For this reason, we don't give a figure. General principles apply to Temu as well: the product should be clear and in focus, the background should be simple, and images should reflect the product's true color and size. Follow the size and format warnings the panel shows during upload.
Preparing images for all marketplaces from a single shoot
If you sell on multiple marketplaces, you don't need to shoot separate photos for each channel. The following workflow is enough for most sellers:
- Take a high-resolution master shot. Photograph the product on a plain white background, in good light and centered. Leave space around the edges; this makes it easier to convert to different ratios later.
- Export the Amazon main image. Make the background pure white, make sure the product fills at least 80% of the frame, and save it with an edge length of at least 1000 pixels.
- Export the Trendyol image. Save the same shot at 1200x1800 pixels and 96 dpi by adding space above and below.
- Check file size for n11 and Hepsiburada. On n11, compress files that exceed the 2 MB limit.
- Prepare the additional images. Usage setting, detail, size and set contents photos. Don't forget the limit of 8 images in total on Trendyol and 10 in total on n11.
- Name files with the product code. Starting the image file name with the product's stock code makes matching easier in a catalog of hundreds of products. We explain how to structure your stock code in our article What is a SKU.
Once your images are ready, you also need to write the product title according to each channel's rules; for this, see our guide to marketplace product naming rules.
What should additional images show?
The main image brings the customer to the product; additional images drive the purchase decision and reduce "not what I expected" returns. You can consider filling your 8 image slots on Trendyol and 10 on n11 in this order:
- Main image: A simple shot showing the entire product from the front.
- Different angles: Side, back and top shots. Especially important for bags, shoes and furniture.
- Detail: Close-ups such as stitching, fabric texture, a lid lock or a connector end.
- Size image: A simple drawing showing the product's dimensions or a photo of the product held in hand. With products like vases, customers cannot guess the size without seeing the dimensions.
- Usage setting: A photo showing how the product looks at home, on a table or when worn.
- Set contents: A flat lay showing what comes in the box (e.g. the three pieces and lids of a 3-piece food storage container set).
Images containing size and information can be used as additional images; however, the main image must not contain text. This rule is explicit on Amazon, and for Hepsiburada, seller guides also stress that images should not contain text, logos or watermarks. On Hepsiburada, avoiding text in additional images as well is the safe approach.
Image addresses and integration
If you send products through an integration rather than one by one via the panel, the marketplace receives the image's web address, not the image file. In this case:
- The address must start with https; Trendyol explicitly requires this.
- The address must be publicly accessible. A storage folder that requires login or a time-limited sharing link will not work.
- Keep the image at the same address for as long as you use it for a live product. Deleting the file or changing the folder structure can break images linked to the address.
- Use a new file name when you update an image. Overwriting with the same name may cause some systems to keep showing the old image.
Common reasons images are rejected
- Wrong ratio: Sending a square or horizontal image to Trendyol.
- Non-https address: An image sent through an integration being served from an http address.
- Text and logo on the main image: A "Free shipping" label, store logo or watermark.
- Non-white background: A light gray or colored background on the Amazon main image.
- Small product: The product appearing small in the image; this violates the 80% rule on Amazon and looks bad on other marketplaces too.
- Large file: Images exceeding 2 MB on n11.
- Misleading image: Using a photo in a different color or of a different product leads to customer return requests and negative reviews.
Product image checklist
Before uploading, check the following for each product:
- Are Trendyol images 1200x1800 pixels, in a 2:3 ratio and 96 dpi?
- Do image addresses start with https?
- Is the Amazon main image on a pure white background, and does the product fill at least 80% of the frame?
- Is there any text, logo or watermark on the main images?
- Are n11 images under 2 MB?
- Does the image count exceed 8 on Trendyol or 10 on n11?
- Does each variant (e.g. each color) have its own image?
Be especially careful with variants: on Trendyol, slicer attributes such as color create separate product cards, so each color card must have a photo of that color.
