New: Shared Stock and Bulk Stock Update — One Number Across All Marketplaces

In short

On kafatura, the stock of every variant is kept in a single central record (Master). When a sale happens on one channel, the same number goes out to all connected channels, and every channel can be synced to the central number with one click. Prices stay separate on each marketplace.

New: Shared Stock and Bulk Stock Update — One Number Across All Marketplaces

Bulk stock update is one of the features announced with the "NEW" badge on the home page of kafatura, which went live on October 2, 2026. The stock of every product variant is kept in a single central record (Master), a sale on one channel is reflected as the same number on all connected channels, and the "Sync all channels to Master" command brings marketplace stock to the central number with one click. The feature is built for sellers who sell the same product on Trendyol, Hepsiburada, n11, Amazon.com.tr, Temu and their own WooCommerce site at the same time and have to correct stock separately in each panel.

How does shared stock (Master) work?

In shared stock, each variant is a single record, and the product's barcode is used as the Master SKU. The black M and black L sizes of a T-shirt are two separate barcodes, and therefore two separate Master records.

When a sale happens on a channel, the flow works like this:

  1. The quantity sold is deducted from the central stock.
  2. The new number is sent to all connected channels as the same value.
  3. If the order is canceled, the deducted quantity is added back to the central stock.

The same order is never deducted twice: even if an order is split into multiple packages, stock is deducted only once. We explained the general logic of the concept in our article what is stock synchronization.

Bulk stock update: sync all channels to Master

A manual change made in a marketplace panel, or different numbers entered on channels during initial setup, can cause a channel's stock to drift from the central record. The "Sync all channels to Master" command brings the stock on every marketplace to the central number with one click. You don't need to open each panel and enter numbers one by one.

An error on one channel does not stop the other channels from being updated. For example, even if one marketplace returns an error, the other channels are still brought to the central number; the problem channel is shown separately in the check table.

Bulk stock check: green, yellow, red

To see the status before or after syncing, the bulk stock check compares the stock on each channel with the central record in a product × channel table:

ColorStatusMeaning
GreenMatchingThe channel's stock matches the central number
YellowMismatchThe channel's number differs from the central record; syncing is needed
RedErrorAn error occurred on that channel; it should be reviewed separately

By looking at the table, you can see on a single screen which product has drifted on which channel.

Stock movement log and threshold alerts

Every increase and decrease is written to the stock movement log together with its reason. The recorded reasons are order, cancellation, manual count and matching. If a product's number is different from what you expect, you can trace in the log which movement caused the difference.

Threshold alerts notify you when stock falls below a threshold you set. That way, you spot a product that is about to run out in time to restock or produce more.

If you use the "Add to stock only" option when adding a new product, the product enters shared stock without being sent to the marketplace; we covered this option in the AI-powered product upload announcement.

Why do prices stay separate?

Only stock is shared. Prices are not kept centrally and are not synced; the price on each marketplace stays separate. Because channels can differ in commission, shipping terms and campaign costs, writing one price everywhere can erode your profit on a given channel. We covered the reasons for managing price and stock separately in detail in our guide to inventory management in multichannel selling.

What should you do as a seller?

  • Make barcodes unique: Because the Master SKU is the barcode, every variant must have its own barcode; don't use the same barcode on two variants. You can find the rules in our article what is a barcode.
  • Do a stock count before the first sync: Syncing writes the central number to all channels; if the central record is wrong, the error goes to every channel too.
  • Check yellow and red rows: Regularly review products that show a mismatch or error in the bulk stock check.
  • Set a threshold: Turn on threshold alerts for fast-selling products so you're notified before stock runs out.
  • Manage prices separately: Bulk stock update does not change prices; plan price updates separately for each marketplace.

Frequently asked questions

Does bulk stock update also change prices?

No. Only stock is shared; prices are not kept centrally and stay separate on each marketplace.

What happens to stock if an order is canceled?

The quantity of the canceled order is added back to shared stock. The same order is deducted from stock only once, even if it is split into packages.

If there is an error on one marketplace, are the other channels still updated?

Yes. An error on one channel does not stop the other channels from being updated; the channel with the error is shown in red in the bulk stock check.
