Short answer

On Amazon.com.tr, a product title can be at most 200 characters, including spaces, in most categories. You cannot use ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦, and the same word cannot appear more than twice. The US 75-character limit has not been announced for Türkiye.

Amazon Product Title Rules and Character Limit

On Amazon.com.tr, an Amazon product title can be at most 200 characters, including spaces, in most categories. This rule has applied since January 21, 2025. Unless they are part of the brand name, the characters ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦ cannot be used, and the same word cannot appear more than twice in the title. Amazon also recommends short titles of about 60 characters and capitalizing the first letter of each word.

Amazon product title rules (Amazon.com.tr)

RuleDetails
Character limitAt most 200 characters, including spaces, in most categories
Banned characters! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦ (unless part of the brand name)
Word repetitionThe same word can appear at most twice
Recommended lengthAbout 60 characters
CapitalizationCapitalizing the first letter of each word is recommended

The banned characters and the repetition rule are mandatory; the 60-character length is only a recommendation. A title that stays within the 200-character limit but breaks one of these rules is still considered non-compliant.

The full title is not displayed everywhere. In search results and on mobile screens, long titles are truncated, and customers read only the first few words. So instead of filling the 200-character field, place the most important information in the first 60 characters and use the rest for supplementary details if needed.

The brand names in the examples below are fictional:

TitleCharacters
Kaplon iPhone 15 Uyumlu Silikon Kılıf Siyah (Kaplon iPhone 15 Compatible Silicone Case Black)43
Kaplon iPhone 15 Uyumlu Silikon Kılıf, Kamera Korumalı, Kablosuz Şarj Destekli, Siyah (Kaplon iPhone 15 Compatible Silicone Case, Camera Protection, Wireless Charging Support, Black)85
Evora Seramik Dekoratif Vazo 30 cm Mat Bej, Kuru Çiçek ve Pampas İçin Masa Vazosu (Evora Ceramic Decorative Vase 30 cm Matte Beige, Table Vase for Dried Flowers and Pampas)81

In the second and third examples, the first 60 characters make sense on their own; even if the title is cut off, the customer understands what the product is. Using commas is not prohibited, and they make long titles easier to read.

Does the US 75-character rule apply in Türkiye?

Amazon.com (US) limited product titles to 75 characters in non-media categories starting July 27, 2026. There is no official announcement to that effect for Amazon.com.tr; in Türkiye, the limit remains 200 characters in most categories. Still, writing your title so that the most important information fits within the first 60–75 characters keeps you prepared for a possible change.

To compare limits on other marketplaces, see our marketplace product naming rules guide. Since a GTIN is also required in most categories when you create a new product page on Amazon, our article what is a barcode may also be useful.

Frequently asked questions

Can you use commas in titles on Amazon.com.tr?

Yes. The banned characters are ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦; the comma is not on this list, and it makes long titles easier to read.

What happens if I don't follow Amazon's title rules?

A title that breaks the rules is considered non-compliant; you may be asked to fix your product, or its visibility in search may be affected. Check the character and repetition rules before publishing.
